Okay sweet so if you are reading this it means you've seen my work and something about it resonated with you! I want to talk a bit about how I work as a photographer. This way you'll be able to see if I am a good fit for you as much as you are for me!

When I photograph people I want to capture their joy. Their playfulness.

I want to see families relax and genuinely be laughing so hard their stomachs ache. Seeing your kids as they are and letting them shine. Doing things together that are actually fun. Things that make you feel like a kid again. I can get the perfect family portrait, but more than that I want to capture the interactions that are perfectly you. I want to watch couples have fun together; running down the beach or splashing into the waves. Let's get sandy or climb on rocks or share romantic kisses in the ocean breeze. The kisses are reserved for you two, I'll just be over here with my camera watching...

Mostly I want to be reminded to be grateful that we get to live a life alongside these other weird, beautiful beings.

I'd like to be more than a photographer for you. I am honored when people choose to let me into their lives, even if only for a moment. I want to know what makes you laugh, what makes you uncomfortable, and what your face looks like when a wave hits you by surprise.

Each session is totally different which means I come to each session ready to work in the moment and nothing specific is planned. I'll photograph the traditional poses but after that I like to observe for a bit which helps me to find and capture the naturally candid moments. I can be directive to assist for these as well, but I wait until I am on the spot to decide what each session needs.

The ocean is my happy place and also an important element in my photography which means that you'll probably end up getting in the water, even if just a little. Be ready for salt and sand :)
